St. Vincent ———— Nature |
||
|
||
In
Nature, campers are guided on daily nature walks in Fairmount Park. As
they learn to feel at ease in the woods during these walks, campers also
learn about geology, biology, and botany. Campers come to appreciate the
importance of trees and wooded areas in the city. As they examine attitudes
about trees and the ecological value of trees, the campers also work to
compile the findings of their research in a 'tree book'. As our urban
campers experience regular interactions with nature program, they develop
a remarkable level of comfort in and knowledge of the woods. |
